Comfortex Fibres
Comfortex products are made to high quality standards very tight specifications and are checked throughout the production process. We produce both blown and carded fibre cushions.
Carded Fibre
Our carded fibre fill production line produces mainly quality back cushions for domestic upholstery use, A carded polyester hollow fibre filling will have a better fibre to fibre cohesion which will give the finished cushion more body and support, the feel of the cushion can also be tailored using carded bats for example a lighter bat at the head of the cushion will give a softer feel to the head and shoulders, and a heavy fill at the lower part of a back cushion will give more lumbar support.
The majority of cushions we produce have a 50gsm polypropylene non woven cover , we also manufacture cushions with a schedule 3 calico outer if needed.
Seat cushions can also be made by using a carded fibre cushion interior and many upholstery manufacturers use them for their soft feel and look. However due to the pounding a seat cushion gets in its lifetime we do recommend the use moulded or slabstock foam cushions as a better alternative.

Blown Fibre
Our blown fibre fill production lines specialize in scatter cushion production, blown fibre lends itself well to the production of soft feel scatter interiors, because the fibre is not carded in bats the fibre is looser and because it is blown it reached all the corners of a scatter case avoiding "ears" in the corners
We will not make blown back or seat cushions as we feel fibre that is blown will not stand up to the support needed in a back and definitely not for a seat cushion, the cushion may have a very soft initial fell however this will be very short lived and the chances are the cushion will loose its shape and flatten very quickly.
On our scatter production we can offer additional services if needed , such as repacking where if you require the outer case can be sent to us we can fill the case with our scatter cushion pack to the customers specification and deliver direct to warehouse etc we also have full metal detection equipment if needed
Sewing
We have our own in house sewing department where cases for cushions are sewn for our blown and carded fibre lines
Cutting
We have computerized Gerber fabric cutting machines for the cutting of fabric
